Fuel Radio Music REVIEW - Cruel Young Heart

I had the pleasure of having coffee with James Blackmon last week at one of the 12 Starbucks in Langley, BC. He was nice enough to hand me one of Cruel Young Hearts new EP's. There are five songs on the EP written in collaboration with Shawn Lang of Abbotsford, BC, and produced by the nicest guy in music - Chris Michel.

I have to admit I have known James for a long time and have heard some of his music in the past, but I still wasn't quite sure what I was going to hear from this new pop duo. The first thing that hit me was James’s voice - he sounds great! Not that he sounded bad in the past, but there has been a definite improvement. http://ping.fm/P590x

As far as solving the music industry’s financial woes, U2 manager Paul McGuinness still hasn’t found what he’s looking for. But he's not about to stop beating the drum.


The new issue of Rolling Stone has an abridged version of a piece McGuinness wrote for the UK edition of GQ addressing the file-sharing and piracy issues that he believes are largely the source of the meltdown of the music business in recent years. Bob Burns Interviews the Beatles in 1964

Damian Burns' Dad, Bob Burns, interviewed The Beatles as they landed in Winnipeg on August 18, 1964 for refueling from London, England on their way to Los Angeles . Video is from CJAY-TV (now CKY).

Bob has that classic sounding 1960's announcer's voice. Very cool! Enjoy.
